This is effective immediately and will be for the 2020 season only.
This is an adjustment for 2020 and NOT A RULE CHANGE.

Well, we knew it was just a matter of time before Covid affected the 2020 reg. season.
The PIT@TEN, week 4 game has been moved to an undertermined date and will not be played in week 4.
This means that for fantasy purposes BOTH TEN and PIT are on BYE in week 4.
It is believed the NFL will eventually play this game in a later week.  If and when any official announcement is made regarding a make-up game or other changes to the NFL schedule we will adjust our competition as necessary.

I would agree with that pick as a sleeper. He was my 
second pick. My team crapped the bed and I have no shot of 
making it past the first round. I enjoyed this league but 
will be dropping out for next season and concentrating on 
my team in the Epsilon league. Good luck to everyone in

Assuming we can't pick ourselves, I would watch out for 
the Pinecones.  Somehow the luckiest team in the playoffs 
every year.  Plus, it would be another validation on this 
league where the best team rarely wins.  Especially since 
they were given the free playoff pass this year.

Either the Titans or Cones have been in the championship

What do you get when you combine a new owner, with a rag tag
crappy team with no real keeper, that has to trade a draft
pick for a WR to have a decent keeper, uses draft mastery &
prowess to draft the #10 RB overall in the 8th round, and
the #2 WR overall in the 14th round, then uses the very
owner friendly, outdated rules, to use the injured reserve
to his advantage, then uses the playoff injured reserve rule
to pick up the #22 RB overall and the #1 RB over the final
three weeks of the season and then due again to some
interesting procedures plays a dead team in the final week?

A CHAMPIONSHIP

And note that it was the 4 playoff teams with the highest 
total points for the season that lost.   And considering 
that the Pinecones had the highest point total of all, and 
didn't even make the playoffs is strange.  It just proves 
that this scoring system doesn't reward consistent team 
management.   Add this to having week 17 games for the 
championship, and I think we can all agree this is fun to 
play, but not quality fantasy football.

honors,  I  mean  look  at  his  team!  MC  Hammertime  took
 the  course  and  did  very  well.  They  would  have 
passed  with  honors,  but  they  traded  Brady  for  Warner
 only  to  bench  Warner! (opps,  wrong  league!)   Anyway,
 somehow  you  managed  to  do  something  that  has  never
 been  done  in  ALL  OF FANTASY  SPORTS�EVER!  Including 
Fantasy  Curling! 

Now  as  you  sit  back  and  relax  get  ready  for  the 
matchup  of  the  season  as  the  gritty  Wack  Pack  looks
 to  take  down  the  Mertots  in  a  nail  bitter.  Swami 
has  this  one  a  36-35 shootout,  with  the  Pack  pulling
 it  out  on  a  last  second  sack!   Good  luck  to 
everyone  else  as  they  enter  the  playoffs.  You�ll

I am a bit overwhelmed, but thank you for the tips. I can see by the history 
that you are indeed a fine player, along with Titan and Pinecones. Looks like 
that Desert Dogs did have a pretty good owner, making the playoffs every year 
practically but had some rough luck in the playoffs. I will my best to try and 
live up to expectations. I believe I will be up to the task.

Today�s the big day.  This is what we�ve all waited for�Draft Day!  For our
newcomers there are a few things to keep in mind.  We move at a blistering pace
and once on the clock you have 1 minute to process all of the research you�ve
done, evaluate who�s still on the board and make that critical decision.  Or if
you�re the Pinecones, 2 seconds to throw a dart and 58 seconds to sit and play
with your pinecones.  Another approach that you might take is the Titan Studs
approach where you let the computer pick your team.  The good news is that you
have a chance to make it to the Championship.  The bad news is that if you make
it, chances are you�ll have the lowest score�EVER!  Regardless of your approach,
it will take every ounce of concentration to put together your Dream Team. 
Unless you�re the Broomoligists, then another unit of measure comes to mind�dime
bag!  Because by the 6th round you�ll be asking yourself, �What is he smoking?�
 Just kidding, you don�t smoke GHB!  With that, lets make today the day it was
meant to be�ONE AWESOME DAY!  Good luck to everyone.

WELCOME NEW OWNERS

As reigning World Champion and recently appointed Ambassador of the Gold Lambda
League, I�d like to welcome our newest members MC Hammertime and Purple Haze. 
You might look around and notice that there are other owners with longer tenure
then myself, but quite frankly they don�t have a lot to offer as a voice of the
league.  Sure, give an address in any metropolitan city to the Pinecones and
he�d be able to tell you the nearest strip club including Chippendales.  And
o.k., Titan Studs is on a first name basis with every bail-bondsman west of the
Mississippi, but beyond that there�s not a lot there.
  
It�s refreshing to have some new faces in a league committed excellence.  You�ll
find that you are now playing with the best of the best.  MC Hammertime, it is
exciting to see that you have already made a move to improve your team. 
Unfortunately, you inherited a real dog of a team.  Although we didn�t know the
former owner personally, we took an informal poll last year and felt that if he
were an actor he�d be voted �Most likely to go full retard!�  We know that
challenges lie ahead, but from what has already taken shape, this should be an
exciting year for you.  Purple Haze, you have some equally challenging times. 
You too are inheriting quite a stinker.  Again, a few years back when they were
the Desert Dogs, the owner didn�t quite have a handle on how the game is played.
 After his third year of drafting a kicker in the first round, for the sake of
the league and in order to maintain the high level of standards we are known
for, we voted him out. I believe he now is setting his sights on the newly
formed UFL fantasy football league and we wish him well.

One thing to note is that you must have patience with the Commish in our league.
 He tends to be a little slow to respond, as I am still waiting for my 4 Regular
Season Championship awards.  Anther thing to keep in mind is that some of the
owners might get a bit boastful of things that happened in the last century
(*cough* Pinecones!).  That�s just another aspect of this league that makes it
great, because as he makes his annual early exit from the playoffs it gives us
all one more thing to celebrate during the holiday season.

With that, on behalf of the Gold Lambda League owners and the Commissioner of
the WFFL, welcome to Fantasy Football 2009!  And to all of the owners, good luck
as we strive once again for the coveted RSC award!

I will have to admit, that was probably one of the best posts we've had.

It was so good, I had to wait a few days before responding so everyone had the

But what exactly is this award ceremony?  The "I get close but never win the 
Championship awards?"  

I'm sure the Cones will agree, we'll be too busy attending the real awards

Thank you�thank you�enough!  Thank you, you guys are too much!  It�s great to 
be back in NY City.  This never gets old(choke up).  I look forward to this 
podium every year and now that it�s been 4 out of the last 5 years, you might 
say this podium looks forward to me!(pause for laugh)  It�s great to see 
everyone here tonight.  Pinecones!  You made it!  I�m glad your parole officer 
gave you permission to attend.  You know, the Pinecones a shy guy so I�ll 
speak for him, does anyone know where the nearest Russian bath house is?  Oh 
wait, never mind, I see that Titan Studs is here, he�ll know.(awkward pause 
while Pinecones and Studs exchange creepy information)  

	You know as a young boy growing up in rural North Dakota I would never 
have imagined that one day I�d be playing in a league where the competition 
was so intense, where the owners gave 110%.  It�s truly an honor to play with 
the best-of-the-best, as well as the Pinecones.(pause for applause)  

	Although Thanksgiving has passed, I�d like to take a moment to say 
thanks to all of those who made this possible once again.  To the Bulls and 
Intimidator, thanks for making this a 3 way tie which caused us to go to the 
total points instead of that head-to-head record thing.  Give it up for those 
two! (applause)  To the Pinecones for finally fielding a team and adding some 
legitimacy to the league.  For awhile there I thought we had 3 inactive teams! 
(pause for laugh)  Hopefully next year we�ll find owners for Total 
Annihilation and Titan Studs�just kidding Studs, take the bullet out of the 
chamber!(more laughter)  We can�t forget the Commish.  Thanks for making this 
a 17 week league that pretty much wipes out any competitive balance in the 
playoff final while � of the players are resting for the NFL playoffs.  With 
this decision you�ve made the Regular Season Championship the flagship award.  
I know you all agree! (pause while the Commish types up a scathing email 
outlining disciplinary action)  But most of all I need to thank the 
Broomoloigists for truly making this happen.  Had he not allowed me to unload 
Bowe and pick up Colston I would be down there tonight, sitting amongst you 
looking up at this stage.  You might all remember just a few weeks ago against 
the Bonecrushers, down an insurmountable 48 pts going into Monday night, with 
only Brees and Colston as my players remaining.  It was late in the fourth 
quarter and although my boys scratched and clawed their way back to score 29 
points, we were still down 19 points.  With hurricane-type winds and rain in 
New Orleans, we were going to need a miracle.  Well I�m here tonight as proof 
that miracles do happen.  One 70yd bomb from Brees to Colston not only got me 
the 19 points I needed but another 9 to spare.  And it�s all due to Colston.  
WC,� you are my MVP!(applause)  In the words of Jerry Maguire, �You, complete 
me!�) (pause for emotional outburst)�.Now as we venture off to the playoffs 
for a 3 game sprint including a pretty much meaningless final, I want to wish

I haven't seen any of that witty repertoire you like to spew around here 
lately.  I need to thank both you and WC once again for allowing me to trade 
dead weight for Kurt Warner.  Who did you get again... oh that's right Colston; 
way to go Big Red Express (fyi, the Dr offered Matt Ryan, Calvin Johson, Darren 
McFadden and a swap of my 7th round pick for Wacked's 9th round pick in next 
year's draft for Warner... thank God Wacked is a master of evaluating talent 
and went with WC and Colston).  Why don't you go back into your record books 
and see if a team has ever been the top scoring team for the week... 3 weeks in 
a row.  Talk about peaking at the right time... and it was only a matter of 
time (and acquiring the #3 ranked QB in a QB dominant league) until the 
Pinecones were back rolling.  The Dr has been here since 1999 (back when this 
was a 14 team league), and he has yet to miss the playoffs.  Here is hoping 
that you stay right where you're at (in the standings), because the Dr would 
love nothing more than to knock the Wacked Pack out of the playoffs for the 
umptieenth year in a row.  How many games did you win last year, only to be 
smoked by the Pinecones in round #1?  By the way, when you are waxing historic 
in your inevitable reponse to this message, why don't you once again remind us 
all how many Championships you've taken home.

The OFFICIAL NFL scoring for week 10 has changed.
The NFL has changed the status of the touchdown scored by PHI in the second quarter of the WAS@PHI game. Originally scored as a fumble recovery for TD, it is now officially a reception for TD.
As this change was made official by the NFL within the challenge period provided by the Gold League rules, scoring for this league has been updated accordingly.

I've figured out why the Pinecones are in so many leagues.  If this 
was your only league it would be a long season.  5-9 is still not out of the 
question for you.  I'll tell you what, I feel bad for your team this year, so 
I'm going to help you out.  To give you a chance this weekend I'll let you 
pick my QB.  You can choose between Vick or Green.  Which one would prefer to 
lose to?  I just don't want to hear your girlish screams after this weekend on 
how lucky I am.  This way, there should be no complaining...at least for a day 
or so.  I'd give you 10 pts, but the Commish wouldn't let me do that.

Champion!  What's in a label?  You want mad props for going 3-0 over the final 
3 games?  What about going 6-8 over the previous 14?  Plus, you wouldn't have 
gotten the chance to go 3-0 if it weren't for the gift from the Dogs.  Who 
gives up a premium WR when the QB is on a record breaking season?  That's like 
trading 8 baseball cards for a sticker and then giving the sticker back!  Some 
Dogs need to be neutered.  

I've talked to all the other owners at our off season meetings in Maui and 
they all agree that the unprecedented regular season record last year was the 
true accomplishment.  I mean the 2nd place team was a staggering 4 games back. 
(There's some yahoo who's won the regular season 4 times by a total of 3.5 
games...that's 4 years COMBINED!)  The next closest winning % was 286 basis 
points away.  I'm not making this up, you can do the math yourself.  I don't 
know what I can do for an encore, but I'm ready to get it on!  Good Luck All!

Ah... another season...

I can't believe Rumeals is the only team we lost this year.  You'd think the 
Dr's dominance of this league would cause all of you to find greener pastures 
elsewhere... isn't it disheartening to be playing for 2nd place before we even 
draft?

I have asked Mike to rename the league "The Pinecones", and here's why:

4 tim Scoring Champion

Every other team that has ever played in Lambda... never a repeat Champion in 
any category except scoring... way to go Killers.

Last night was not a good night for you.  I mean, you get eliminated in one 
league, while watching the Dogs pile on the points only to send you down to the 
8th seed.  SP must stand for Scott Peterson, because you just received a death 
sentence. 

Oh sure, you can look at this weeks scores and say if we had played this week 
how you would have won, but of course, in my mind that means nothing.  My team 
plays down to the competition as they will certainly have to do this weekend.  
So, while Jake is lighting up the KC D and you're getting that warm and fuzzy 
feeling as your group approaches that 90 pt mark, don’t look over your shoulder 
because the Q-Men will be running to 220-221, whatever it takes! 

I just want to be the bigger man by being the 1st to apologize for knocking you 
out of 2 leagues in consecutive weeks.  

Don't forget the bright side, you have a primo draft pick next year, while I'm 
going to be stuck with that ugly 12th spot.

For Shame

Did you miss week 3 this year?  When SQ annihilated the paltry 143 with a score 
of 149.  That's a whole TD to you and me!  That week Peyton only had 45 points, 
once again a true testament to the total team effort.  How about week 10, when 
Manning posted 48 pts.  Or last year when Manning posted 50!  

It's obvious you are in denial as your regular season record indicates that it 
might be time for a coaching change.  We are teams moving in opposite 
directions.  I mean look at the past few years for you 12-2, 11-3, 10-4, 9-5, 
and then this year 7-7 at best (but realistic probably 5-9).  Oh sure, you won 
the Championship last year, but we all know that the test of time is to win the 
regular season as the Desert Dogs have shown that anybody can get lucky and eek 
out a win every now and then.

Your bitter-beer-face is getting a bit ugly.  Sure the talent pool is a smidge 
bigger this year, but by my calculations I am the only one projected to shatter 
the total season points record.  Plus, I've already topped the single game 
record - twice.  As a matter of fact, only 4 teams are projected to break 1000 
pts.  Know we all know the only reason your #'s were so high back in 2000 is 
because I wasn't playing yet.  When I joined back in 2001 I had a 4 year plan 
to not only dominate the season but to destroy your place in history.  Taking a 
line from Dubya "Mission Accomplished!"
