In an effort to avoid some of the difficulties covid is creating, it has been decided to make waivers unlimited for the 2020 season.
This is effective immediately and will be for the 2020 season only.
This is an adjustment for 2020 and NOT A RULE CHANGE.

Well, we knew it was just a matter of time before Covid affected the 2020 reg. season.
The PIT@TEN, week 4 game has been moved to an undertermined date and will not be played in week 4.
This means that for fantasy purposes BOTH TEN and PIT are on BYE in week 4.
It is believed the NFL will eventually play this game in a later week.  If and when any official announcement is made regarding a make-up game or other changes to the NFL schedule we will adjust our competition as necessary.

Was looking at the new draft interface. I like the layout 
but seems to have some issues with not keeping the user 
logged in. As you sort the stat board by position rank, it 
kicks you out saying you are not logged in, when it says 
you are logged in at the top of the screen. You then have 
to log out and log back in. Not sure if anyone else has 
tested this, but it happens every time I go in and try it.

WOW!!!
How bad can one person screw up??  Pretty bad.  Take the perceived procedural error just announced for example.  There was NO ERROR!!
The rules DID change and all those waivers removed were 'legal' meaning there never should have been a 'correcttion'.
 Pretty bad, huh?
So, now the correction has been corrected and everything should be back to where it was before the genius stepped in and made such a mess.
If you should find there is still any problem with your roster or line-ups, please notify WANNABE Sports at your earliest convenience.

thanks Mean Machine. I had 3RB and 3WR line up. Had
Jackson/Thomas and Todman. Along with Gordon/K.Martin/Jones.
Todman RB and Martin WR were ruled ineligible. Martin for
Mccalister is fair since they both put up zeroes, I probably
would of started Ginn instead of Mccalister and he gave me a
point. Todman a RB was replaced by Ginn not Johnson. Again I
am probably going to lose tonight but at least if I am only
down by 1 or 2 it would make it interesting. Now I am down
by double digits. Good Luck Mean Machine whatever happens
the rest of the way your a class act and it's always
enjoyable to be in this league with knowledgeable and active
players like yourself.

Just a guess...but it looks like the Commish just
replaced the illegal move with a person of a similar
position on your bench.  First time I've seen this
happen...but as long as the Commish doesn't have to make any
judgment calls  then I'm ok with it.  For example, I know
you would have played C. Johnson instead of Ginn, but that
would require the Commish to make a judgment call as to that
move. If you played 4 WRs before the lineups were
re-arranged, then your "final" lineup for the week should
consist of 4 WRs.  I had 3 RBs, so it makes sense to put
Ellington back in my lineup (who was dropped for Ogbonnaya).

Also if you can place EJ Manuel instead of Big Ben for my QB
for the week....Kidding of course on that...however,if the
system was not allowed based on my lineup with have my guys
out yesterday there would of been no way I would not of
played CJ. I probably would of switched him from Mccalister
since he did not play yesterday. So basically everyone on 
my reserve roster other then QB/K/Def would of been out for
Week 15. If that was done and Mean Machine keeps the
Ellington-Floyd then in turn he would be up by +1 going into
tonight game. Which is the same score it was this morning
before all the changes. If you want to penalize me then put
Mccalister in for Ginn and give him +2. But to keep CJ on
the bench and have me start both Ginn and Mccalister who was
out yesterday is kind of bogus.

How come Mean Machine had 73 points then after this rule
change he had Ellington start and removed Floyd. Which in
turn gave him 79 points. I on the other hand got Mccluster
and Ginn added with Martin and Jax RB removed. Why wasn't
Johnson added for me instead of Ginn for the Jax RB?
Mccluster and Martin each scored 0 so that's a push but how
come Ginn is starting? At no time did I place Ginn in my
starting line up. I should have C Johnson instead of Ginn to
replace the Jax RB, if he is allowed to have Ellington
instead of floyd start. I was not trying to cheat the system
I thought the rules may of changed in regards to the
add/drop. I just need to have an answer as to why I got Ginn
placed in my starting lineup instead of Johnson and Mean
Machine gets Ellington added in place of floyd.

A procedural error has just been brought to the attention of WANNABE Spoorts.
Immediate actions have been taken to comply with the rules as best possible.
No more than one waiver is allowed per team in the post-season (weeks 13-16). The system did not limit teams to one as it should have.  Therefore, all "illegal" waivers have been reversed and rosters/line-ups have changed accordingly.  If anyone wishes to take issue with the error or the correction, your comments are welcome.

Ok, someone please explain this trade to me.  
Dementors trade their 1st round (5th overall), 5th, 8th, 
and 12th round and received a 3rd round, 5th, 7th, 16th, 
and Randall Cobb.  This kinda made sense b/c Cobb is 
arguably a top 15 WR that you could save, but Dementors 
didn't save him.  He kept Frank Gore as his FP and....
(drumroll) San Francisco Defense as his TP.  



So in essence, he gave up a first (which in his draft 
position would have been Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, 
Drew Brees, Marshawn Lynch)and second round (Matt Forte, 
Jimmy Graham, Demarco Murray) for San Francisco Def, Torrey 
Smith, and Vincent Jackson.



I'm usually one to give these trades the benefit of the 
doubt (and no offense to T&G Express, b/c I would have made 
the trade in his shoes), but this deal makes no sense 
whatsoever.

Ah-it must be July again. Grass is growing, it�s hotter

confusing email. So-the way you wrote it �Willing to trade

confusing because it sounds like you own multiple picks in 
a round.  What I think you meant was that you would be 
willing to trade your 5th round (#53) and your 8th round 
(#92) for somebodies 3rd and 10th round picks.  Is that 
your intent?  Oh-I am still glad that you did not quit 
like you threaten in post # 55. I�m thinking that Darrius 
Heyward-Bey would be a good TP for you to save this year.

Not sure if the final score will be updated but Flaco should
have 18 points not 14 points that it shows now. He threw two
TD passes from 8 and 28 yds which is 14 points. Then threw
for over 200 yds which is another 4 points. In turn that
would make the final 56 to 55.

In an effort to keep the league fair for all, the Dementors and IgwanakikBooties will be allowed to renegotiate.
 Given they negotiated and concluded a deal that was accepted prior to the trade deadline, they will be allowed to substitute another (more fair) deal as a one-time exception to the rule.

T&G, Circus, and Duds, Dawgs, I have enjoyed playing with
you all in this league.  I have always been very honest and
I will be again.  I am resigning my team in this league due
to the trade that took place between Igwanas and Dementors.
 It is totally an unfair trade by all accounts, and yes he
offered to everyone, but again it was unfair and I
personally couldn't have taken it.  I do respect Igwanas as
I play against him in another league and he has always be
wonderful to play against.  I just can't deal with getting
upset anymore over Dementors, and I am choosing to resign.  

Dementors, you and I have had our battles in the past but
this time, I just feel that it jeopardized the integrity of
the league by your trade. 

I did ask the commish to review it, and haven't gotten any
reply at all on that.  That is surprising as I usually at

Let me try to wrap my head around this you trade your #1
pick (#2 overall) for a 3rd rd and 7th rd pick? Did you not
want to pay the signing bonus that comes along with a #1
pick? How can you trade the #2 overall pick and not even get
back the other teams 1st rd pick. Something is terribly
wrong with this, but this is the same team that keeps a TE
and KR as its franchise players in years past. Good job

during the game The Mudskippers had Roy Williams in the 
starting lineup but after he put up zero pts todays lineup 
has him on the bench and Mason in his place. So if the

replace guys or even add guys based on the results? its 
probaby not going to matter but if this is not legal then 
thats bush league.

Five teams look like they are going to be tied for 1st 
place. It looks like I will get the #1 seed (total pts) 
and thinking that as the 1 seed you would play a team on 
par with The Dementors as the 8 seed. But nope, the 8 seed 
is the best team in the league that dropped 168 this week 
and scored more then any team in the league. I know the 
SBB team qualified for the playoffs but do they compete in

T & G Express-That was priceless.  Welcome to the league.  To bring you up to 
speed, the team that saved Ginn (ADP 101/WR 39) is the Dementors.  We love the 
Dementors.  I am usually the target of many bad words from them so it will be 
nice to have someone else get shot at.  You must take 10 minuets and read the 
following posts-they will shed light on the on-going saga�that is the 
Dementors.

Post 54 (describes the art of VBD), 56,69,70,76, 78, 79, 85, 87,109.  My all-
time favorites though are 52, 62, 69, 70, 71, and 100.  Somewhere in there he 
is compared to a deaf fruit bat�..but it�s all in fun, plus by saving Ginn it 
leaves someone in the area of 30 ADP for us to choose from.  See-he is being 
thoughtful.

Tom Brady-(One save remaining).  Currently being drafted at 2.04-But won�t get 
out of the first round in Wannabe.  What a steal, even with 1 save remaining.  

Steve Slaton- (Two saves remaining).  Currently being drafted at 1.12.  I 
would love to save him, actually saving him in two other leagues, but just 
can�t fit him in.

Both of these players are better than the players you will get by saving your 
2nd round pick (what you give up to save two players). This is a chance to get 
a first round pick at a huge value (cost of a 4th rounder)

Guys-I believe that the Mudskippers is incorrect.  This happend two years ago 
in this league and happened to me in the semi-finals of another wannabe league 
this year.  The criteria for breaking a tie is as follows:

-most total points for the week,(this was a 96-96 tie) NEXT
-most total QB points for the week,(Rivers 16 pts. Orton 22 pts.) I believe, 
and this is how it transpired previously, that it is only your starter QB pts. 
that are compaired.

This would mean that that Ducks win and not the Skippers.

I think you're right.  It's kind of tough to take, though, losing because of
bench players.  I scored the maximum points that I possibly could have for the
players on my roster...I just didn't consider that the bench would even be a
factor.  Either way, it was a great matchup, and it looks like you're our champ.

 I hardly call my victory a "Drubbing".

I thank all the league players, for an interesting year. Being from New 
England,  and not having either Brady or Moss on my team, winning was quite an 
accompishment.  I started four diferent QBs and was able to use a variety of 
backs and recievers depending on thier opponents rather than thier abilitys. 
I`ll have to build a new wing on my estate just to house my Wannabe Trophys.

DRAFT DAY!!!Last years banter was exciting!!! I would like to thank the 
Dementors for not quitting as promised in posts 63, 56, and 44.  It would not 
have been the same without his FF prowess.  I truly am thankful that Reggie 
Brown (ADP 5.04) and Devery Henderson (ADP 9.06) are off the board. I would 
not have known which one to pick with my 3rd round pick.  It�s nice to see 
that the lessons learned from saving Trent Green last year have lead to better 
decision making. Well- I will conclude the first post of the 07 season without 
further ridicule or even my favorite limerick (post 62).  Good Luck all-yea 
even you Dementors.  I don�t think that you need much luck thou- at least on 
paper--the Dementors look like the favorite going into the draft.

The OFFICIAL NFL scoring for week 10 has changed.
The NFL has changed the status of the touchdown scored by PHI in the second quarter of the WAS@PHI game. Originally scored as a fumble recovery for TD, it is now officially a reception for TD.
As this change was made official by the NFL within the challenge period provided by the Gold League rules, scoring for this league has been updated accordingly.

Dementors-What is really weird about this is that your harsh treatment wasn�t 
nearly as bad as what I got from my wife.  She was screaming at me about not 
starting Walker.  Well, I can take it because I know that it is just for fun 
and that this has been the most fun of any Wannabe year. Most years there is 
hardly a post, let alone the jousting that as gone on for months. Most years 
the draft takes place and hardly a thing happens after that (i.e. the Delta 
League).  I think you should go to the commissioner and see if  you can get me 
removed.  Make sure that you direct him to all the threads that make you out to 
be a kind, soft-spoken, and caring individual who can articulate thoughts into 
concise statements (post #s 29,30,44,52,61,65, and 69 (my favorite).  I am sure 
that the commissioner will see that you have been wronged,  your family 
humiliated (post # 54 ), and that the Wannabe League will be better off with 
owners like you, instead of owners like me.  In all actuality, since I finish 
so high in multiple leagues year after year, I rarely have to pay, to get in 
for the next year.  Thinking about it, it would make better business sense for 
the commissioner to remove an owner like me (non-paying winner) and insert an 
owner like one of your family members (again post # 54).  That way he would 
most certainly be assured of a higher revenue stream.  

Whatever the outcome is, this sure has been fun.  I do congratulate you on your 
sounding victory.  Maybe if I get removed you could take over my team.  You 
could change the name from �Danos Dirty Dawgs� to� �The Dumbfounded Dementors�

 	Per Section II (b)-�Any Team whose owner ceases to operate their 
registered team, in the reasonable judgment of WANNABE Sports, will be 
considered abandoned and reclaimed by WANNABE Sports�.  All Abandoned Teams 
will be operated by WANNABE Sports and WANNABE Sports will control line-ups 
and rosters of abandoned teams in an effort to maintain a high level of 
competition.  

I am sure we all remember the eloquent quote from the Dementors on September 
30th, �Who cares Mean Machine!!! I just want to trade or leave this league. 
Since no one traded with the Dementors and now they have won this week, I can 
only conclude one thing; that the previous owner of the Dementors has in fact 
abandoned the team and that the Commish is running it.  How else can you 
explain this weeks win?

So-The Igwannakickbooties should not feel bad about the loss to the 
Dementors.  They lost to a professional fantasy football guy, who just so 
happens to run a league.

I would think trading is difficult in all Gold leagues since if you move a 
pick or a studly player for someone you had better damn well plan to keep that

OK- Your use of the English language is remarkable.  Next time I will use 
smaller words.  You are really missing the point.  Teams can win with T. Green 
(not yours) but they stand a better chance if he is selected around his value.  
You used a FP/TP tag on a player you could have had in the sixth round, 
essentially (hopefully not too big a word) bypassing other players with better 
value in the early rounds.  As to your football championship expertise: Please 
provide details of the leagues where you and your 11 family members play in 
(all missing a Y chromosome I imagine) so that I can avoid those leagues.  You 
might take pride in wining that way, but I can assure you that you and your 
family are the only ones who would.  By the way, even a deaf fruit bat knew 
Dominic Davis was not going to play when we drafted, but yet you wasted another 
pick high in the draft (3rd round pick).  You can officially start whining 
again!! Even if there isn�t any trading, at least there is good schmack.

 OK-I was probably too harsh�.but come on. You can�t complain and whine about 
trading if you don�t have anything to trade.  Even Edges value is dropping. 
After doing some checking, I found that Trent Green was only saved in 1 league 
in all of Wannabe (guess which team) and that his average draft position was 
6.4.  You are missing out on terrific players when you save a player that you 
could get in the 6th round. I think if there were a couple� somewhat quality 
players, someone would have made an offer that was acceptable.  Suck it 
up��..wait a few more weeks and see if you can trade multiple players for 1 
good guy to save for next year.  In the mean time, read some articles on VBD.

You have officially become the league Wannabe Weenie (WW).  You would like to 
trade folks to make up for your serious lack of draft prowess, but yet when 
owners (I included) take a look at what you have to trade, they can't come up 
with anything reasonable.  Why is that? Because everyone else's team (including 
our reserves) are better, and carry more value, than anything you got.  Since 
there have been suggestions as to what you should do, including your idea of 
going to another Wannabe league that will help you overcome your weenieness, I 
would like to provide a suggestion: LAY OFF THE CRACK PIPE AND EVERCLEAR BEFORE 
AND DURING THE DRAFT.  Also, keep in mind that if you suck at drafting, and you 
do, the computer will pick for you.  I think that might be your best choice.

Dementors-
You and I are in the same boat.  We had a lousy draft so
we have only a very few players anyone would be interested
in.  With only a couple of players of value it's hard to
put together a trade that offers both parties an up-side.
Better to find waiver options until injuries start to
deplete the front runners.  Patience.
I've been in this situation a few times.  Many times, really,
because I suck at drafting.  Football and baseball.

Steve-What is missing from your statement is�..did I sum it up right? Because 
if it was really your intent to offer your 3rd (3.06) and your 5th (5.06) for 
the Dementors 1st (1.08) and 7th (7.08) instead of how it came across:  
Trading the 1st for a 3rd and a 5th for a 7th.  Under what I believe is 
the �true trade�, I don�t have any problem with it.  Years ago I had a problem 
with trades in this league (Mike will remember) and the problem really came 
down to the wording of the trade, and the actions of the parties, and not the 
trade itself.  I learned that it is very important to make sure what is 
solicited is easy to understand and simple to read.  Kind of like the 
word�. "travisshamockery�.  I think that if I have summed this up right, the 
commish and all of the owners would not have a problem with this trade�..

Lets get on with the smap taking and get this semantically trade stuff behind 
us!!!!!

All-I have always felt that off-season trades are a little dicey.  That is, to 
get owners involved, players should be somewhat discounted from where they 
would have been drafted (say 1 to 1.5 rounds and maybe 2 if there is an injury 
or drug conviction).  When I originally saw the cryptic note referencing this 
trade, I really could not understand it because it just did not make any 
sense.  In my mind, it did not make any sense because no one in their right 
mind would trade a 1st round pick for another team's 3rd round pick AND 
trading their 5th round pick for the other team's 7th round pick with NO other 
considerations.  There had to be a misunderstanding of the �true trade� and 
now looking at the e-mail threads�.. there is. It now sounds like the Booties 
are offering their 3rd (3.06) and their 5th (5.06) for the Dementors 1st 
(1.08) and 7th (7.08).  I don�t think this is the way that it came across to 
all of the parties except the teams making the deal.

I appreciate the commish looking out for other teams, but if someone offers

Interesting that Dementors chose NOT to actually post the unfair trade he was trying to complete.
If anyone can explain to the Commissioner how trading a 1st round pick for another team's 3rd round pick AND trading your 5th round pick for the other team's 7th round pick with NO other considerations is a FAIR DEAL, feel free to do so in an email to the Commissioner.
It would seem to me that the Commissioner has simply saved the remainder of the league from a trade which would have definitely resulted in an unfair advantage for a single team. But league member opinions are welcomed.

whatever thier name) I do not see the difference between draft picks being

It is interesting that the Igwanakikbooties would refute the trades that have 
been solicited with the absolute rhetoric that was offered.  Some would think 
that you are very shrewd to try to get something for these quality players.  
I, on the other hand, am left pondering this: "How does someone get such high 
quality players as Chris Simms, Greg Jones and Mike Vick (WOW!!)  Your 
proposal to the teams is a travesty, your players are a sham, and you made 
mockery of your own fantasy prowess.   The trades that have been offered have

to show that we really don't have to worry about his team.  These were his 
best players.  I suggest a name change from Igwanakikbooties to 
Isuckmymammasbootie or better yet, what will happen to him this year........
