Players on IR after 1pm ET today are waived. ------------------------------- #213 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Sunday, 10/11/2020 16:08:27 ET In an effort to avoid some of the difficulties covid is creating, it has been decided to make waivers unlimited for the 2020 season. This is effective immediately and will be for the 2020 season only. This is an adjustment for 2020 and NOT A RULE CHANGE. ------------------------------- #212 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 10/1/2020 10:40:27 ET Well, we knew it was just a matter of time before Covid affected the 2020 reg. season. The PIT@TEN, week 4 game has been moved to an undertermined date and will not be played in week 4. This means that for fantasy purposes BOTH TEN and PIT are on BYE in week 4. It is believed the NFL will eventually play this game in a later week. If and when any official announcement is made regarding a make-up game or other changes to the NFL schedule we will adjust our competition as necessary. ------------------------------- #211 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Friday, 12/1/2017 13:16:52 ET **LAST CHANCE** IR ENDS with the week 13 line-up deadline. On the right side of the page, under WANNABE Menu, click the menu option OWNER FUNCTIONS (must already be logged in). This loads your new team page with access to owner-only links. Find "To enter DRAFT Room: Click HERE" on the right side of the page. Once clicked, you should find yourself on the new DRAFT Agent page. Good Luck. ------------------------------- #201 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 7/29/2014 20:15:23 ET I am getting killed by adds. THIS MUST STOP. If you slide your curser through the MIDDLE of the page, you get the add. This really sucks. If I have to kill 4 ads in the space of 2 mins-I will not participate in any more wannbee leagues. Danos Eveything ------------------------------- #200 by: Pigskin Pyros (Kevin Valimont) on: Saturday, 7/26/2014 8:24:08 ET Was looking at the new draft interface. I like the layout but seems to have some issues with not keeping the user logged in. As you sort the stat board by position rank, it kicks you out saying you are not logged in, when it says you are logged in at the top of the screen. You then have to log out and log back in. Not sure if anyone else has tested this, but it happens every time I go in and try it. ------------------------------- #199 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 7/17/2014 10:57:19 ET The site Update is underway. Thanks. ------------------------------- #198 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Wednesday, 1/1/2014 11:12:34 ET Thanks to all for another great season and congratulations to the new League Champ!! Looking forward to having everyone back for the 2014 season. Changes to rules/procedures are being considered for 2014. Watch your inbox for updates! ------------------------------- #197 by: The Mean Machine (Heath Trisdale) on: Tuesday, 12/17/2013 20:16:26 ET Agreed, no harm no foul. Thanks for all work on your end Mike. Thanks T&G. I will be honest, I have never seen a kicker in this league score so many points. It made Monday night football very interesting! ------------------------------- #196 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Tuesday, 12/17/2013 16:57:19 ET Thanks Mike, no worries. You do a great job. Congrats Danos and Mean Machine you guys are both active owners and solid opponents. Good luck to both of you and look forward to getting my title back next year. ------------------------------- #195 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Tuesday, 12/17/2013 3:14:26 ET WOW!!! How bad can one person screw up?? Pretty bad. Take the perceived procedural error just announced for example. There was NO ERROR!! The rules DID change and all those waivers removed were 'legal' meaning there never should have been a 'correcttion'. Pretty bad, huh? So, now the correction has been corrected and everything should be back to where it was before the genius stepped in and made such a mess. If you should find there is still any problem with your roster or line-ups, please notify WANNABE Sports at your earliest convenience. ------------------------------- #194 by: The Mean Machine (Heath Trisdale) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 19:50:34 ET Agreed, and good luck to you as well. With my luck this year, Jacoby will go off for an 80yd TD and my kicker will pull a hamstring in the 1Q. ------------------------------- #193 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 19:22:52 ET thanks Mean Machine. I had 3RB and 3WR line up. Had Jackson/Thomas and Todman. Along with Gordon/K.Martin/Jones. Todman RB and Martin WR were ruled ineligible. Martin for Mccalister is fair since they both put up zeroes, I probably would of started Ginn instead of Mccalister and he gave me a point. Todman a RB was replaced by Ginn not Johnson. Again I am probably going to lose tonight but at least if I am only down by 1 or 2 it would make it interesting. Now I am down by double digits. Good Luck Mean Machine whatever happens the rest of the way your a class act and it's always enjoyable to be in this league with knowledgeable and active players like yourself. ------------------------------- #192 by: The Mean Machine (Heath Trisdale) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 18:53:27 ET Just a guess...but it looks like the Commish just replaced the illegal move with a person of a similar position on your bench. First time I've seen this happen...but as long as the Commish doesn't have to make any judgment calls then I'm ok with it. For example, I know you would have played C. Johnson instead of Ginn, but that would require the Commish to make a judgment call as to that move. If you played 4 WRs before the lineups were re-arranged, then your "final" lineup for the week should consist of 4 WRs. I had 3 RBs, so it makes sense to put Ellington back in my lineup (who was dropped for Ogbonnaya). ------------------------------- #191 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 15:47:48 ET Also if you can place EJ Manuel instead of Big Ben for my QB for the week....Kidding of course on that...however,if the system was not allowed based on my lineup with have my guys out yesterday there would of been no way I would not of played CJ. I probably would of switched him from Mccalister since he did not play yesterday. So basically everyone on my reserve roster other then QB/K/Def would of been out for Week 15. If that was done and Mean Machine keeps the Ellington-Floyd then in turn he would be up by +1 going into tonight game. Which is the same score it was this morning before all the changes. If you want to penalize me then put Mccalister in for Ginn and give him +2. But to keep CJ on the bench and have me start both Ginn and Mccalister who was out yesterday is kind of bogus. ------------------------------- #190 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 15:33:49 ET How come Mean Machine had 73 points then after this rule change he had Ellington start and removed Floyd. Which in turn gave him 79 points. I on the other hand got Mccluster and Ginn added with Martin and Jax RB removed. Why wasn't Johnson added for me instead of Ginn for the Jax RB? Mccluster and Martin each scored 0 so that's a push but how come Ginn is starting? At no time did I place Ginn in my starting line up. I should have C Johnson instead of Ginn to replace the Jax RB, if he is allowed to have Ellington instead of floyd start. I was not trying to cheat the system I thought the rules may of changed in regards to the add/drop. I just need to have an answer as to why I got Ginn placed in my starting lineup instead of Johnson and Mean Machine gets Ellington added in place of floyd. ------------------------------- #189 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Monday, 12/16/2013 10:19:22 ET A procedural error has just been brought to the attention of WANNABE Spoorts. Immediate actions have been taken to comply with the rules as best possible. No more than one waiver is allowed per team in the post-season (weeks 13-16). The system did not limit teams to one as it should have. Therefore, all "illegal" waivers have been reversed and rosters/line-ups have changed accordingly. If anyone wishes to take issue with the error or the correction, your comments are welcome. ------------------------------- #188 by: Silver and Black Attack (Scott Reitz) on: Sunday, 9/22/2013 4:12:25 ET Any interest in Cutler or Manuel? Looking for a top tier RB or R. Please keep the nonsense offers to yourself ------------------------------- #187 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Friday, 9/6/2013 11:57:56 ET **--APOLOGIES FOR THE SLOW START--** The difficulties with LIVE Scores have been cleared up! Scores and stats from Thurs. night game are online and scores will update regularly beginning with the 1st games on Sun. Your patience is appreciated. ------------------------------- #186 by: The Mean Machine (Heath Trisdale) on: Sunday, 8/25/2013 10:32:52 ET Ok, someone please explain this trade to me. Dementors trade their 1st round (5th overall), 5th, 8th, and 12th round and received a 3rd round, 5th, 7th, 16th, and Randall Cobb. This kinda made sense b/c Cobb is arguably a top 15 WR that you could save, but Dementors didn't save him. He kept Frank Gore as his FP and.... (drumroll) San Francisco Defense as his TP. So in essence, he gave up a first (which in his draft position would have been Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, Drew Brees, Marshawn Lynch)and second round (Matt Forte, Jimmy Graham, Demarco Murray) for San Francisco Def, Torrey Smith, and Vincent Jackson. I'm usually one to give these trades the benefit of the doubt (and no offense to T&G Express, b/c I would have made the trade in his shoes), but this deal makes no sense whatsoever. ------------------------------- #185 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Friday, 8/9/2013 18:11:26 ET ******TRADE OFFER****** Can’t keep all of these guys--Stevan Ridley or David Wilson for a 5th round pick. Danos Dirty Dawgs ------------------------------- #184 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 8/7/2013 21:51:42 ET Cobb for a 5th round pick-that is a great deal. You guys are going after it.... ------------------------------- #183 by: The Mean Machine (Heath Trisdale) on: Sunday, 7/28/2013 3:10:12 ET Wait...not sure I understand. I give up my 3 and 8 and in return I get a 5 and 10? How is that a good thing? ------------------------------- #182 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Friday, 7/12/2013 18:02:53 ET Apparently Danos Dawgs is going to save the Jets and Michael Crabtree. He should read who I already have as my daved players. Again, my # 5 pock( this is only one pick obviously) and my # 8 pick for a # 3 pick and a # 10 pick. ------------------------------- #181 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 7/10/2013 20:50:59 ET Ah-it must be July again. Grass is growing, it’s hotter than crap, and the Dementors have put out another confusing email. So-the way you wrote it “Willing to trade my # 5 and # 8 pick for a # 3 and a # 10 pick”, is very confusing because it sounds like you own multiple picks in a round. What I think you meant was that you would be willing to trade your 5th round (#53) and your 8th round (#92) for somebodies 3rd and 10th round picks. Is that your intent? Oh-I am still glad that you did not quit like you threaten in post # 55. I’m thinking that Darrius Heyward-Bey would be a good TP for you to save this year. DDD ------------------------------- #180 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Tuesday, 7/9/2013 19:07:03 ET Willing to trade my # 5 and # 8 pick for a # 3 and a # 10 pick. ------------------------------- #179 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Tuesday, 11/27/2012 08:41:22 ET **--IR ENDS THIS WEEK(WK13)--** Please be sure to review your roster and remove any player(s) currently on IR. Players remaining on IR after the week 13 waiver deadline (1pm ET Sunday) will be removed from your roster. Also note, your starters in the Thursday night game can not be waived after their game starts until the week changes to 14 at 1pm ET on Sunday. Don't let this slip by or players you wish to keep could be removed from your roster. Please review the rules and notify the Commissioner if there are questions. ------------------------------- #178 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Thursday, 8/9/2012 20:44:35 ET Willing to trade the following players for draft picks: Eli MANNING,Leon WASHINGTON,Tim TEBOW,Jamaal CHARLES,Daniel THOMAS,or Julio JONES ------------------------------- #177 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Tuesday, 7/3/2012 19:26:23 ET Thanks T and G Express ------------------------------- #176 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Friday, 6/29/2012 10:05:39 ET I am trading my first found pick. and 10 th round pick In exchange, I want a 3rd rounder, a fifth rounder and an 11th rounder. ------------------------------- #175 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Wednesday, 12/14/2011 9:00:08 ET The "Contact WANNABE Sports" option experienced a glitch recently. Either you are adults who are acting like children or teen-agers who will never grow up. Guess which one I think yo uare of the two? So this is the last I am going to say about this because I choose to be the mature one. ------------------------------- #173 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 8/27/2011 19:34:31 ET I am not amused. I hope to l=kick you both out of the league forever. Now do not talk to me again ever. ------------------------------- #172 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Saturday, 8/27/2011 18:10:17 ET The once was a football team that boast to be the best that was owned by a man name Alan Pedreira................... The saves each year made people aware..... He saved guys that retired... If you played him twice you were admired. K/Te and retired QB his team resembled fantasy diarrhea.... Its all in just best of luck with the wolfpack this year Alan. ------------------------------- #171 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 8/27/2011 15:48:03 ET You are completely rude. No thanks for the trade. ------------------------------- #168 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Sunday, 8/7/2011 18:42:20 ET Wanting to trade players for draft picks...Jamaal Charles for a 1st rounder, Desean Jackson for a 3rdrounder, or Tim Hightower for a 8th rounder. Steve Igwanakikbooties ------------------------------- #167 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Friday, 8/5/2011 22:41:07 ET Too bad. I probably among a lot of us in this league love basebal We do not hate football. You do not need to talk about baseball rthat way.- This is direxted to owner of Dano's Dogs. By they way, , being mean like that could have you in dead last all this year. ------------------------------- #166 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 8/3/2011 22:03:23 ET Hakeem Nicks is up for a trade: Hakeem Nicks (for a 3rd round pick). Good Luck T & G ------------------------------- #163 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Tuesday, 12/14/2010 7:14:41 ET Not sure if the final score will be updated but Flaco should have 18 points not 14 points that it shows now. He threw two TD passes from 8 and 28 yds which is 14 points. Then threw for over 200 yds which is another 4 points. In turn that would make the final 56 to 55. ------------------------------- #162 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Sunday, 8/29/2010 13:42:03 ET good luck all! Let the season Begin!!!! ------------------------------- #161 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Friday, 8/20/2010 8:09:47 ET In an effort to keep the league fair for all, the Dementors and IgwanakikBooties will be allowed to renegotiate. Given they negotiated and concluded a deal that was accepted prior to the trade deadline, they will be allowed to substitute another (more fair) deal as a one-time exception to the rule. If there are any questions or concerns, direct them to the Commissioner via email. ------------------------------- #160 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Wednesday, 8/18/2010 8:09:47 ET Due to multiple complaints within the league and resulting re-evaluation, the trade of draft picks between Igwannakikbooties and Dementors has been nullified. If there are any questions or concerns, direct them to the Commissioner via email. ------------------------------- #159 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Tuesday, 8/17/2010 0:10:57 ET T&G, Circus, and Duds, Dawgs, I have enjoyed playing with you all in this league. I have always been very honest and I will be again. I am resigning my team in this league due to the trade that took place between Igwanas and Dementors. It is totally an unfair trade by all accounts, and yes he offered to everyone, but again it was unfair and I personally couldn't have taken it. I do respect Igwanas as I play against him in another league and he has always be wonderful to play against. I just can't deal with getting upset anymore over Dementors, and I am choosing to resign. Dementors, you and I have had our battles in the past but this time, I just feel that it jeopardized the integrity of the league by your trade. I did ask the commish to review it, and haven't gotten any reply at all on that. That is surprising as I usually at least get something back, but that is another story for another day. Again, I felt that I have always been honest, and I figured I would come out and post this to let everyone know why I am resigning. Good luck to you all this season and it's been fun playing with you. David MRF Cats ------------------------------- #158 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 8/14/2010 12:48:18 ET I am looking to trade my # 3 and # 7 pick for a #1 pick or my # 5 and # 7 for a # 1 and a # 9 pick. Good for the middle drafting teams. ------------------------------- #157 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 8/7/2010 16:50:31 ET Aug 15th is last day to save or trade! Shoot me some offers!!!! I will trade picks players you name it! ------------------------------- #156 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 7/3/2010 10:55:11 ET Needing some draft picks. Lets start with some RB's. How about either Joseph ADDAI (35 TDs in past 42 games) for a 5th round pick or Leon WASHINGTON(seattle RB) for a 8th rounder. Make me a offer on Jerricho COTCHERY,Joshua CRIBBS,or Jacoby JONES. ------------------------------- #155 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 7/3/2010 10:53:11 ET why the sour grapes? He offered to everyone? Why bash him for saving a K or a R who returns kicks. I have done that in the past and won 9 games one year and 10 the next. Its all about value not the names! ------------------------------- #154 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Friday, 7/2/2010 0:28:00 ET Let me try to wrap my head around this you trade your #1 pick (#2 overall) for a 3rd rd and 7th rd pick? Did you not want to pay the signing bonus that comes along with a #1 pick? How can you trade the #2 overall pick and not even get back the other teams 1st rd pick. Something is terribly wrong with this, but this is the same team that keeps a TE and KR as its franchise players in years past. Good job Dementors putting everyone in the league behind the 8 ball to the Kickbooties. I just hope I play you twice this year and the Kickbooties only once. ------------------------------- #153 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 6/30/2010 0:33:45 ET Needing some draft picks Lets start with some RB's How about either Joseph ADDAI (35 TDs in past 42 games) for a 5th round pick or Leon WASHINGTON(seattle RB) for a 8th rounder. Thanks all for a close season. Who`s your Daddy????? T&G Express ------------------------------- #150 by: The Circus Faces (Bob Green SR) on: Monday, 12/28/2009 18:38:28 ET T&G Express Good Luck Percy Harvins going to have a career night ------------------------------- #149 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 7/8/2004 18:09:47 ET Due to scheduling changes by the NFL, the Week 15 Sat. night game was not recognized as an early game for line-up purposes. This resulted in only one erroneous line-up change which has now been corrected as per the rules. ------------------------------- #148 by: The Circus Faces (Bob Green SR) on: Sunday, 12/20/2009 16:56:09 ET Just to make sure I am up on the rules cause last night during the game The Mudskippers had Roy Williams in the starting lineup but after he put up zero pts todays lineup has him on the bench and Mason in his place. So if the games have already been played before 1pm on Sunday we can replace guys or even add guys based on the results? its probaby not going to matter but if this is not legal then thats bush league. ------------------------------- #147 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 12/14/2009 15:01:58 ET When you say SBB do you mean the Stonewall Brigade team? If so yes they compete ------------------------------- #146 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Monday, 12/14/2009 14:43:24 ET Five teams look like they are going to be tied for 1st place. It looks like I will get the #1 seed (total pts) and thinking that as the 1 seed you would play a team on par with The Dementors as the 8 seed. But nope, the 8 seed is the best team in the league that dropped 168 this week and scored more then any team in the league. I know the SBB team qualified for the playoffs but do they compete in it or are they skipped? ------------------------------- #145 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Tuesday, 11/10/2009 21:09:31 ET Yeah, I convinced them to stay home and watch the race, instead...thanks for the W, they've been hard for me to come by this year...lol Mud Duck ------------------------------- #144 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Tuesday, 11/3/2009 10:16:32 ET I think my team forgot that they were playing football on Sunday! ------------------------------- #143 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Tuesday, 10/6/2009 14:59:30 ET Lost m y game by 3 points and it seems I lost by return yards by Joshua Cribbs- that really sucks. You are right- interesting league this year. ------------------------------- #142 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Tuesday, 9/29/2009 9:10:27 ET Dementors: Sucks that I lost, but congrats to you. Welcome to the league. To bring you up to speed, the team that saved Ginn (ADP 101/WR 39) is the Dementors. We love the Dementors. I am usually the target of many bad words from them so it will be nice to have someone else get shot at. You must take 10 minuets and read the following posts-they will shed light on the on-going saga…that is the Dementors. Post 54 (describes the art of VBD), 56,69,70,76, 78, 79, 85, 87,109. My all- time favorites though are 52, 62, 69, 70, 71, and 100. Somewhere in there he is compared to a deaf fruit bat…..but it’s all in fun, plus by saving Ginn it leaves someone in the area of 30 ADP for us to choose from. See-he is being thoughtful. Welcome….and lets have another great year ------------------------------- #136 by: The T and G Express (Robert Green) on: Thursday, 8/27/2009 9:32:21 ET After winning back to back division in the Omicron League (as the B-Sharps) I have decided I need a new challenge. But after noticing one team saved Ted Ginn JR I have come to the conclusion that this league will be easier to win then the Omicron. ------------------------------- #135 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Sunday, 8/2/2009 11:45:08 ET A new season is coming. I have the following players available for a 4th round pick. Tom Brady-(One save remaining). Currently being drafted at 2.04-But won’t get out of the first round in Wannabe. What a steal, even with 1 save remaining. Steve Slaton- (Two saves remaining). Currently being drafted at 1.12. I would love to save him, actually saving him in two other leagues, but just can’t fit him in. Both of these players are better than the players you will get by saving your 2nd round pick (what you give up to save two players). This is a chance to get a first round pick at a huge value (cost of a 4th rounder) Good Luck to All This Season Frank (Danos Dirty Dawgs) ------------------------------- #134 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Thursday, 1/1/2009 19:00:05 ET Well, that settles that...congratulations Mudskippers! It was a great fantasy season, now on to cheering my Panthers to a Super Bowl victory!! See you all next season. Mud Duck ------------------------------- #133 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 1/1/2009 11:39:47 ET The rules define tie-breakers in sec.III.a. First tie-breaker: most total points for the week. Because Mudskippers wins the First tie-breaker, Mudskippers is the 2008 champion. If anyone wishes to question the results please direct your queries to the Commissioner via email or the online Contact option. ------------------------------- #132 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Thursday, 1/1/2009 2:38:37 ET Well, that'll turn that ol' frown upside down!!!! lol I guess we'd better get some kind of official ruling here before either of us start celebrating too hard. I'm not entirely certain that DDD is completely accurate there, either, but I hope for my sake that he is :) Either way, I agree, great year everyone. MD ------------------------------- #131 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 12/31/2008 9:21:27 ET Guys-I believe that the Mudskippers is incorrect. This happend two years ago in this league and happened to me in the semi-finals of another wannabe league this year. The criteria for breaking a tie is as follows: -most total points for the week,(this was a 96-96 tie) NEXT -most total QB points for the week,(Rivers 16 pts. Orton 22 pts.) I believe, and this is how it transpired previously, that it is only your starter QB pts. that are compaired. This would mean that that Ducks win and not the Skippers. Great year-see ya in August DDD ------------------------------- #130 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Tuesday, 12/30/2008 14:15:24 ET I think you're right. It's kind of tough to take, though, losing because of bench players. I scored the maximum points that I possibly could have for the players on my roster...I just didn't consider that the bench would even be a factor. Either way, it was a great matchup, and it looks like you're our champ. Congratulation! ------------------------------- #129 by: MudSkippers (Phillip Keegan) on: Monday, 12/29/2008 20:00:24 ET Thanks Mud Duck. A tie is an unfortnate way to determine a league winner. I think this comes down to reserve QB scoring. ------------------------------- #128 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Sunday, 12/28/2008 7:23:25 ET Good luck today, Mudskippers! ------------------------------- #127 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Tuesday, 11/25/2008 10:51:55 ET Grant did me in, nice game MRF Cats ------------------------------- #126 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Monday, 11/24/2008 14:47:20 ET Hopefully it will happen and Grant will get the 2 points. This is not the kind of move a two-time champion makes. Larry Johnson is not worth the roster spot. Don’t look at the name; look at the past/future production (even if he does eventually play). What I am really saying is……You need to “play like a champion-today” not like a Dementor. Sorry-I have not gotten in a Dementor reference in months. DDD ------------------------------- #119 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Saturday, 10/25/2008 16:30:29 ET Steve, If it were me, I would start Russell. :) Good luck this week, but I'm hoping you do lose. ------------------------------- #118 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 10/25/2008 13:19:32 ET great mow my quarterbacks are facing the number 1,2, and 3rd ranked defenses all this week. Instead of raging on the Dementors like years past, I think this years "goat" is looking like "The Mean Machine". Wow-saving Sidney Rice (ADP #115/WR 41) looks very shrewd. I must be missing something on that selection. Maybe he’s “your boy”. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!! There is already one team that we won’t need to worry about-- The Pansy Machine. ------------------------------- #111 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 8/13/2008 14:56:31 ET 8-15-08 is the deadline for trades and saved players. If your interested then send me offers. ------------------------------- #109 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Wednesday, 1/2/2008 9:35:18 ET Congrats Circus Faces! This was a great season. Looking forward to next season. ------------------------------- #108 by: The Circus Faces (Bob Green SR) on: Wednesday, 1/2/2008 6:00:52 ET Thank You DDD; I hardly call my victory a "Drubbing". I thank all the league players, for an interesting year. Being from New England, and not having either Brady or Moss on my team, winning was quite an accompishment. I started four diferent QBs and was able to use a variety of backs and recievers depending on thier opponents rather than thier abilitys. I`ll have to build a new wing on my estate just to house my Wannabe Trophys. Joking Thanks again Epsilon League see you next year ------------------------------- #107 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 1/1/2008 20:37:34 ET What-No Circus Faces posting after the drubbing of the Mean Machine and subsequent victory in the finals. That’s two years in a row…..almost unheard of in Wannabe. Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to see that the CFs do not win for again for a long time. Congrats!!! DDD ------------------------------- #106 by: The Circus Faces (Bob Green SR) on: Wednesday, 12/19/2007 10:48:54 ET Mean Machine..........Don`t forget.....bench points count.... ------------------------------- #105 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 12/19/2007 1:00:26 ET never mind I read the rules... ------------------------------- #104 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 12/19/2007 0:38:06 ET How come the Reecy's Raiders didnt make the playoff? Dementors...(aww, what's the point) - nevermind....lol ------------------------------- #100 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 11/17/2007 15:05:14 ET What is a Mudduck? Thanks for the answer Mudskippers. didn't know you were a ventriloquist-lol. ------------------------------- #99 by: MudSkippers (Phillip Keegan) on: Saturday, 11/17/2007 12:56:25 ET If you look at the evolution of a MudSkipper as opposed to a MudDuck, one things becomes apparant. If you want to make it in this world you have to adapt. ------------------------------- #98 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 11/14/2007 17:05:25 ET These remarks coming from anither 3- 7 team. You have any right to talk about me? I do not think so. What is A Mudduck anyway? Maybe you duck when mud is thrown at you-lol. ------------------------------- #97 by: Carolina Mud Ducks (Steve Carrico) on: Sunday, 11/11/2007 9:31:51 ET Give it up, Frank...you're no match for his rapier wit and overwhelming skills at debate! ------------------------------- #96 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 11/7/2007 14:52:24 ET Ha!! HA!!! ------------------------------- #95 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 11/6/2007 21:13:54 ET Dementors-Is that you? I thought you quit last year? I’m just kidding, I know it’s you because no one else would waste saves on Reggie Brown and Devery Henderson and then drop them both. Actually, you’ve done real well without your FP/TP players. Next year, maybe you could save Patten and Jurevicius. I am glad you barked into the message board, as the league has been kind of boring without ridiculing your fantasy prowess. Since I am now 7-1-1 and you are now 3-6, I suggest that you take a big hit off of that STFU bong of yours, because you’ve got nowhere to go but down. Lastly, when/if you feel the need to reply to this bashing, would you please just put a little more thought into it before you post. Your sentence structure and use of the English language makes the players of the Epsilon league feel sorry for severely beating a fourth grader. Happy bottom-dwelling! Hold on, I wasn't ready!!! Nobody said Go...I want a do-over!!! ------------------------------- #88 by: MRF Cats (David Brittain) on: Sunday, 8/26/2007 11:51:12 ET Frank, man do we have to start this trash talk already? lol I mean we aren't even into game 1 yet and you start with the talking. I agree with you that I'm not sure why you would keep those two, but I'm sure there was a reason behind it. Good luck to you this season and let's get it started!!!! ------------------------------- #87 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Friday, 8/24/2007 22:45:49 ET DRAFT DAY!!!Last years banter was exciting!!! I would like to thank the Dementors for not quitting as promised in posts 63, 56, and 44. It would not have been the same without his FF prowess. I truly am thankful that Reggie Brown (ADP 5.04) and Devery Henderson (ADP 9.06) are off the board. I would not have known which one to pick with my 3rd round pick. It’s nice to see that the lessons learned from saving Trent Green last year have lead to better decision making. Well- I will conclude the first post of the 07 season without further ridicule or even my favorite limerick (post 62). Good Luck all-yea even you Dementors. I don’t think that you need much luck thou- at least on paper--the Dementors look like the favorite going into the draft. DDD ------------------------------- #86 by: Wiggum's Warriors (Bob Green SR) on: Tuesday, 1/2/2007 17:35:21 ET Mean Machine, congrats on a great season, I can`t believe I was able to come back after your outstanding early games. Now its off to fantasy baseball. ------------------------------- #84 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Tuesday, 1/2/2007 7:49:52 ET This has been my worst finish in 4 years at Wannabe ! Ohh Why ?? Didnt I start Joseph Addai!!! WHY!!!???!!! ------------------------------- #78 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 11/16/2006 11:29:47 ET The OFFICIAL NFL scoring for week 10 has changed. The NFL has changed the status of the touchdown scored by PHI in the second quarter of the WAS@PHI game. Originally scored as a fumble recovery for TD, it is now officially a reception for TD. As this change was made official by the NFL within the challenge period provided by the Gold League rules, scoring for this league has been updated accordingly. Please direct any questions to the Commissioner via email or the online contact form. Thank you. ------------------------------- #77 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Sunday, 11/12/2006 23:53:16 ET I vote that the OAKLAND Raiders and Randy MOSS suck!! ------------------------------- #76 by: PURPLE REIGN (mike aringer) on: Saturday, 11/11/2006 12:07:09 ET OK Mean, I hear you. I do agree wholeheartedly with your post, in fact, I'm enjoying the crap out of this message board. Like I said, for close to 10 years, these have been nothing but blank boxes, hardly ever one single post. I just couldn't hear the rest of the league over the constant bickering between D3 and Demented. It was time to hand out the pacifiers if you know what I mean. So, if there's no crying in FF, toss the kleenex and LET'S GET IT ON!!! PURPLE REIGN ------------------------------- #75 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 11/8/2006 20:52:37 ET You guy's are great! Keep up the good work!! ------------------------------- #74 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 11/8/2006 14:46:03 ET Still can't handle losing chump? You are rude and incdonsiderste and should be kicked out of all fantasy leagues. You do not talk about people's parents You are mean to me. YOU ARE THE CHILD!! You act like your shoe size- 2 WAAH WAAH BABY!! ------------------------------- #73 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 11/8/2006 13:17:35 ET You know…I have tried to be patient with you. I even congratulated you on your victory. But this STFU stuff doesn’t work for me because every time you post, you just bury yourself. Your parents must be proud of you.....for not getting caught cheating on your GED. You are proof that the “No child left behind” policy isn’t really working. The California educational system really failed when they let you loose on society. ------------------------------- #72 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 11/8/2006 0:15:33 ET Can't handle the pressure of losing? If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. You are my favorite stepping stone to the Champinoship!!! ------------------------------- #71 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 11/7/2006 21:11:33 ET Oh-not me....I am on double secret STFU. Funny stuff thou. I am still waiting for the post that says.....this all started because the Dementors wanted to trade away half of his draft picks for a 4th round pick....remember that? Seems like a lot of posts ago....oh yea like 70. ------------------------------- #70 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Tuesday, 11/7/2006 10:23:32 ET Im just MAD because I have a 3-6 record!! Let a brotha have a win or two will ya... ------------------------------- #69 by: PURPLE REIGN (mike aringer) on: Tuesday, 11/7/2006 9:02:52 ET Yeah, I know you boyz are having way too much fun. But aren't we getting a little out of control? It's just a game for Pete's sake. I have played Wannabe FF for many years now, and have not seen activity (posts on message board), like this for, well,...ever. Or is it only due to the immature bickering between 2 sore losers? OK, what do the rest of you think? Might as well hear from everyone. Why let the party end? I'm even more excited about the tight standings, and so many teams having great, similar records. (Yes, you too Frank). PURPLE REIGN ------------------------------- #68 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Monday, 11/6/2006 12:52:47 ET Dementors-What is really weird about this is that your harsh treatment wasn’t nearly as bad as what I got from my wife. She was screaming at me about not starting Walker. Well, I can take it because I know that it is just for fun and that this has been the most fun of any Wannabe year. Most years there is hardly a post, let alone the jousting that as gone on for months. Most years the draft takes place and hardly a thing happens after that (i.e. the Delta League). I think you should go to the commissioner and see if you can get me removed. Make sure that you direct him to all the threads that make you out to be a kind, soft-spoken, and caring individual who can articulate thoughts into concise statements (post #s 29,30,44,52,61,65, and 69 (my favorite). I am sure that the commissioner will see that you have been wronged, your family humiliated (post # 54 ), and that the Wannabe League will be better off with owners like you, instead of owners like me. In all actuality, since I finish so high in multiple leagues year after year, I rarely have to pay, to get in for the next year. Thinking about it, it would make better business sense for the commissioner to remove an owner like me (non-paying winner) and insert an owner like one of your family members (again post # 54). That way he would most certainly be assured of a higher revenue stream. Whatever the outcome is, this sure has been fun. I do congratulate you on your sounding victory. Maybe if I get removed you could take over my team. You could change the name from “Danos Dirty Dawgs” to… “The Dumbfounded Dementors” PS-I thought you quit? (post #s 56, 63) Dano will now STFU (post # 52) ------------------------------- #67 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 11/5/2006 19:43:39 ET What is the matter? Can't put the right line-up in against me? I used Javon walkerin my line-up on other teams. I kicked butt!! Not only will I bea you but you are my stepping stone to the Chsmpionship.!! Duh, this is how drunk and stupid i am ,LOSER!!! ------------------------------- #66 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 11/5/2006 19:34:46 ET I am asking for your removal for all your insensitive remarks to me. You are not a true fantasyowner. You unforunayrly do not belong in any fantasy leagues as you take it too serious. You need to be in money leagues. I am writing commisioner for your ouster from this league and all other leagues in Wannabee sports ------------------------------- #65 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Saturday, 11/4/2006 6:47:48 ET TO THE DEMENTORS-For an owner that has been screaming about fair trade offers, this one really stunned me. You really have a distorted sense of value. Without even doing much analysis or looking at future schedules, I have shown that your offer is ridiculous. I was really just joking in post # 49 about your crack use and drinking problems. But now, I am really left wondering if those issues are the least of your worries. Dementors is offering: QB - Jake PLUMMER DEN (25) RB - Maurice JONES-DREW JAX (5) and R - Desmond CLARK CHI (34) Danos Dirty Dawgs QB - Philip RIVERS SD (13) RB - Frank GORE SF (12) R - Bernard BERRIAN CHI (7) Good luck this weekend, yes you can finally get your revenge. Do keep this in mind, just in case a miracle occurs and you win, God really does watch out for dumb stupid animals (i.e....the Dementors). PS-I thought you quit? ------------------------------- #64 by: Wiggum's Warriors (Bob Green SR) on: Tuesday, 10/24/2006 10:12:25 ET simple... play a very weak 3and 4 team for insperation ------------------------------- #63 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 10/23/2006 15:45:13 ET How can a 1-5 team score 115 points! Jeeze! ------------------------------- #62 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 10/15/2006 3:33:33 ET Starters for starters and help both teams at a weak spot No injured players. no non staters.Very simple. ------------------------------- #61 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Thursday, 10/12/2006 20:03:32 ET Dano's dirty Dawgs- You are the reason I am leaving at the end of the season. If i only win one more time this year, I know it will be against your EAST COAST Whining- have some chesses with that WHINE!! ------------------------------- #60 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 10/11/2006 17:22:20 ET Dementors- is that you? Not the commissioner. I must assume that this is indeed the Dementors, because I can’t believe that the commissioner would use a word like WOM. Oh, I get it; it is another one of your acronyms like STFU. Since you won a game, can we assume that you are done being a WOM (Whining Oppressive Malcontent) or come next week, are you going to turn back into a STFU (Sterile Temperamental Football Underachiever)? ------------------------------- #59 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 10/11/2006 0:46:45 ET I never left the league, I just WOM!!! ------------------------------- #58 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 10/10/2006 21:50:23 ET Per Section II (b)-“Any Team whose owner ceases to operate their registered team, in the reasonable judgment of WANNABE Sports, will be considered abandoned and reclaimed by WANNABE Sports”. All Abandoned Teams will be operated by WANNABE Sports and WANNABE Sports will control line-ups and rosters of abandoned teams in an effort to maintain a high level of competition. I am sure we all remember the eloquent quote from the Dementors on September 30th, “Who cares Mean Machine!!! I just want to trade or leave this league. Since no one traded with the Dementors and now they have won this week, I can only conclude one thing; that the previous owner of the Dementors has in fact abandoned the team and that the Commish is running it. How else can you explain this weeks win? So-The Igwannakickbooties should not feel bad about the loss to the Dementors. They lost to a professional fantasy football guy, who just so happens to run a league. ------------------------------- #57 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 10/9/2006 20:59:05 ET Thanks Guys ! You got the Dementors all Riled up and now he came out and beat me! Just you wait, I will get him riled up when he faces you and we will see how you like it. ------------------------------- #56 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 10/8/2006 22:33:58 ET Crap from you and you are crap!!! Your trades make me sick,. You want give me four back-ups and an injured palyeer. This is not a person who know about fantasy football. As I said before it is about both teams helping each other not hurting each other. ------------------------------- #55 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 10/8/2006 0:03:31 ET Message -Igwannakickbooties - The idots who run the Dawgs and mean Machine is the reason I am leaving. See they are not fantasy owners, they are jerks. To everyone else but the Dawgs and Mean machine, have lots of good years after I leave. TO THE OTHER TWO Take Two cups of STFU!!!! ------------------------------- #54 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Friday, 10/6/2006 15:46:19 ET Due to the recent love letters going back and fourth, I thought that we could lighten it up with a limerick. Ode to a Screaming Dementor A football draft is near One I will blow, I fear Because, at drafting I suck Maybe I can rely on my luck Na...I am as dumb as a deaf fruit bat-that is clear ------------------------------- #53 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Thursday, 10/5/2006 22:24:10 ET Mean Machine- GET A LIFE A!!!! My mother who is 94 plays beter than Brooks when he is better. How about I trade you some washed up pice of crap for your whole team AS!!!!!!! ------------------------------- #52 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 10/3/2006 22:58:57 ET Wow- stunning win by the Purple Reign. I can’t believe the Dementors are not whining about how God spoke to him and told him to play Warner (2 pts) over Mark Brunell (34 pts). It only hurts when you Lose by 1……66-65. ------------------------------- #51 by: MudSkippers (Phillip Keegan) on: Tuesday, 10/3/2006 15:10:56 ET Hi Dementor, I would think trading is difficult in all Gold leagues since if you move a pick or a studly player for someone you had better damn well plan to keep that guy in the following year. The only way that makes any real sense is if you have no one at all you are considering keeping the following year. Kind of a hand-cuff! Cheers ------------------------------- #50 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 9/30/2006 2:05:24 ET Im sorry to hear that dementors! We will miss you... ------------------------------- #49 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 9/30/2006 1:49:07 ET WHo cares Mean Machine!!! I just want to trade or leave this league. ------------------------------- #48 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 9/27/2006 12:09:40 ET OK- Your use of the English language is remarkable. Next time I will use smaller words. You are really missing the point. Teams can win with T. Green (not yours) but they stand a better chance if he is selected around his value. You used a FP/TP tag on a player you could have had in the sixth round, essentially (hopefully not too big a word) bypassing other players with better value in the early rounds. As to your football championship expertise: Please provide details of the leagues where you and your 11 family members play in (all missing a Y chromosome I imagine) so that I can avoid those leagues. You might take pride in wining that way, but I can assure you that you and your family are the only ones who would. By the way, even a deaf fruit bat knew Dominic Davis was not going to play when we drafted, but yet you wasted another pick high in the draft (3rd round pick). You can officially start whining again!! Even if there isn’t any trading, at least there is good schmack. DDD ------------------------------- #47 by: Reecy's Raiders (Russ Volberding) on: Wednesday, 9/27/2006 7:57:02 ET That was cogent. Or not. ------------------------------- #46 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Wednesday, 9/27/2006 2:32:35 ET Hey DAWGS- TAKE A CUP OF STFU!!!! I save who I want when I want. It is jerks like you who make it uninteresting in fantasy football!!! all other league that are not in Wanabee Sports do trading. for your info, i have won titles with T green as part of my QB duo.I won more championships in other leagues than mor years than you were born or thought you were smart. ------------------------------- #45 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 9/26/2006 23:12:10 ET OK-I was probably too harsh….but come on. You can’t complain and whine about trading if you don’t have anything to trade. Even Edges value is dropping. After doing some checking, I found that Trent Green was only saved in 1 league in all of Wannabe (guess which team) and that his average draft position was 6.4. You are missing out on terrific players when you save a player that you could get in the 6th round. I think if there were a couple… somewhat quality players, someone would have made an offer that was acceptable. Suck it up……..wait a few more weeks and see if you can trade multiple players for 1 good guy to save for next year. In the mean time, read some articles on VBD. ------------------------------- #44 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Tuesday, 9/26/2006 17:31:31 ET Wow !! That was a tad bit Harsh! You are right the dementors have a bad team. The only hope for him is to get some lucky week and pick up some people off waivers. I had missed the draft last year and ended up dropping half my team after the draft, but I still finished 8-6 after losing the first 5! Keep your head up dementors just dont expect everyone to make trades with you. ------------------------------- #43 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Tuesday, 9/26/2006 12:55:58 ET You have officially become the league Wannabe Weenie (WW). You would like to trade folks to make up for your serious lack of draft prowess, but yet when owners (I included) take a look at what you have to trade, they can't come up with anything reasonable. Why is that? Because everyone else's team (including our reserves) are better, and carry more value, than anything you got. Since there have been suggestions as to what you should do, including your idea of going to another Wannabe league that will help you overcome your weenieness, I would like to provide a suggestion: LAY OFF THE CRACK PIPE AND EVERCLEAR BEFORE AND DURING THE DRAFT. Also, keep in mind that if you suck at drafting, and you do, the computer will pick for you. I think that might be your best choice. Danos Dirty Dawgs ------------------------------- #42 by: Indy Sharks (Russ Volberding) on: Tuesday, 9/26/2006 6:16:40 ET Dementors- You and I are in the same boat. We had a lousy draft so we have only a very few players anyone would be interested in. With only a couple of players of value it's hard to put together a trade that offers both parties an up-side. Better to find waiver options until injuries start to deplete the front runners. Patience. I've been in this situation a few times. Many times, really, because I suck at drafting. Football and baseball. ------------------------------- #41 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 9/25/2006 16:42:58 ET You said you wanted trade offers and I gave you a trade offer. I like my teams so the reason Im havent been making trade offers is that Im satisfied. You said you havent got any trade offers so... I gave you a trade offer if you didnt like it you can either counter it or politely say no. ------------------------------- #40 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Monday, 9/25/2006 12:37:05 ET Do not insult my intelligence with the lame trade propasals Mean Machine and IGwannkickbotties. You are both giving up nobodies for somebody. When I said trades, I meant equual trades to help both teams not hurt one. You both are a disgrace to fantasy football players all over the world. By the way, you can both cancel your trades to me. ------------------------------- #39 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Sunday, 9/24/2006 11:53:07 ET Does anyone trade in this league? It may be time for me to move on to another Gold league where owners trade and have fun. You are all boring. Not even do I get an answer from my trades as in a different ideas of players in trades.I hope to be here next year but if no one trades, I will be leaving to a Gold league who know what fantasy footbll is all about by trading and having fun. Winning isn't everything. ------------------------------- #38 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Thursday, 9/21/2006 10:54:50 ET I need RBs for WRs- different from Sharks ------------------------------- #37 by: Indy Sharks (Russ Volberding) on: Sunday, 9/17/2006 8:06:01 ET Anyone interested in trading RB['s] for WR['s] let me know. ------------------------------- #36 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 8/28/2006 0:20:51 ET good luck all...!!! ------------------------------- #35 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Tuesday, 8/8/2006 15:12:38 ET I guess the question is moot now because the dementors hasnt accepted the 2nd proposal. ------------------------------- #34 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 21:28:21 ET Steve-What is missing from your statement is…..did I sum it up right? Because if it was really your intent to offer your 3rd (3.06) and your 5th (5.06) for the Dementors 1st (1.08) and 7th (7.08) instead of how it came across: Trading the 1st for a 3rd and a 5th for a 7th. Under what I believe is the “true trade”, I don’t have any problem with it. Years ago I had a problem with trades in this league (Mike will remember) and the problem really came down to the wording of the trade, and the actions of the parties, and not the trade itself. I learned that it is very important to make sure what is solicited is easy to understand and simple to read. Kind of like the word…. "travisshamockery”. I think that if I have summed this up right, the commish and all of the owners would not have a problem with this trade….. Lets get on with the smap taking and get this semantically trade stuff behind us!!!!! Frank ------------------------------- #33 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 20:27:52 ET How about if we just not allow any trades at ALL! That way no colusion or trades will have to be pondered. ------------------------------- #32 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 19:17:55 ET All-I have always felt that off-season trades are a little dicey. That is, to get owners involved, players should be somewhat discounted from where they would have been drafted (say 1 to 1.5 rounds and maybe 2 if there is an injury or drug conviction). When I originally saw the cryptic note referencing this trade, I really could not understand it because it just did not make any sense. In my mind, it did not make any sense because no one in their right mind would trade a 1st round pick for another team's 3rd round pick AND trading their 5th round pick for the other team's 7th round pick with NO other considerations. There had to be a misunderstanding of the “true trade” and now looking at the e-mail threads….. there is. It now sounds like the Booties are offering their 3rd (3.06) and their 5th (5.06) for the Dementors 1st (1.08) and 7th (7.08). I don’t think this is the way that it came across to all of the parties except the teams making the deal. Danos Dirty Dawgs ------------------------------- #31 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 17:16:39 ET American Idols - Traded - BARBER, Tiki RB NYG Radish-Traded - None - multi-player trade TRADE American Idols- Traded - Rnd#6 - Pick#9 Radish- Traded - Rnd#3 - Pick#2 Here is another trade ok'd in the Alpha league They got a Tiki Barber(4th overall in points) and a 6th round pick for a 3rd round pick. That is fair? ------------------------------- #30 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 17:09:09 ET So what is Fair??? I offered the dementors a 3rd and 5th round pick for his 1st and 7th round pick. Is that Acceptable? ------------------------------- #29 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 17:00:42 ET I appreciate the commish looking out for other teams, but if someone offers you a trade that benefits your team, should you be allowed to accept it? I believe, and apparently the commish believes, the trade was in my favor. Now what about the other trade that just happened Chris Chambers for a 4th round pick is that fair? he was taken in the 6th round last year So who does that favor or is that equal? ------------------------------- #28 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Thursday, 7/10/2006 13:09:47 ET Interesting that Dementors chose NOT to actually post the unfair trade he was trying to complete. If anyone can explain to the Commissioner how trading a 1st round pick for another team's 3rd round pick AND trading your 5th round pick for the other team's 7th round pick with NO other considerations is a FAIR DEAL, feel free to do so in an email to the Commissioner. It would seem to me that the Commissioner has simply saved the remainder of the league from a trade which would have definitely resulted in an unfair advantage for a single team. But league member opinions are welcomed. ------------------------------- #27 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Monday, 7/10/2006 10:19:36 ET There is a protest against the trade between my team and Igawannakikbottie( or whatever thier name) I do not see the difference between draft picks being traded in the rounds we wanted to draft them vs. Players for draft choices which in same cases the other team could lose their saved players. ------------------------------- #26 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Saturday, 7/8/2006 15:25:26 ET I made abig mistake. After reading this, I am ripping myself off. I will trade my # 1 pick and # 5 pick for your # 3 and # 7 pick. The other one would be exchange of # 1's and my # 3 for your # 5. ------------------------------- #25 by: Dementors (Alan Pedreira) on: Friday, 7/7/2006 13:03:01 ET Iwannakickbotties ( I know spelleed wrong, sorry) is just joking. He is having fun at our expense. I would like to get a # 1 pick in draft of temas below me such as Team 1- Team 7 ( those picks) and a # 4 pick for my # 3 and # 5 pick. anyone interested, make an offer. If do not like, laugh and make different offer of drft picks. ------------------------------- #24 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Friday, 7/7/2006 0:50:22 ET I think I should name my team "travisshamockery" Cause I have no clue what it means! ------------------------------- #23 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Thursday, 7/6/2006 21:49:37 ET Jealous....huh? Oh I understand now......you were completely sincere with offering up those players. You generally believe(d) that they are/were good. Well now that I understand, I will not pick on you’re “A Team”. You have enough to worry about (like where is my Ritalin). I wish you good luck in the upcoming draft. Pssst.....hear that Ricky Williams is a sleeper (but don’t tell anyone). ------------------------------- #22 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Thursday, 7/6/2006 20:20:10 ET Someone sounds a little jealous... Your team may of beaten my team last year, but I still pulled a 8-6 record out of my "shabby" players. Thats only 3 games behind the almighty Dana's dirty Hogs and all the great players that are on his/her team. ------------------------------- #21 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Thursday, 7/6/2006 19:18:55 ET It is interesting that the Igwanakikbooties would refute the trades that have been solicited with the absolute rhetoric that was offered. Some would think that you are very shrewd to try to get something for these quality players. I, on the other hand, am left pondering this: "How does someone get such high quality players as Chris Simms, Greg Jones and Mike Vick (WOW!!) Your proposal to the teams is a travesty, your players are a sham, and you made mockery of your own fantasy prowess. The trades that have been offered have been legitimate. The garbage that the Igwanakikbooties has offered just goes to show that we really don't have to worry about his team. These were his best players. I suggest a name change from Igwanakikbooties to Isuckmymammasbootie or better yet, what will happen to him this year........ Itakeitinthebootie. ------------------------------- #20 by: IgwanakikBooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 7/5/2006 21:17:00 ET Since everyone else is offering trades here is mine. Ill trade Kerry Collins,Chris Simms or Mike Vike for a 5th round pick. Or all 3 for a 3rd round pick! Ryan Moats(RB), Dante Hall(WR),Greg Jones (RB),Reggie Brown(WR)or Eric Moulds (WR) for a 6th round pick. Or all 5 for a 5th round pick. Yes I know you can only save two, but the more trade bait the better, right! Thanks Steve Igwanakikbooties ------------------------------- #19 by: Danos Dirty Dawgs (Frank Rivers) on: Wednesday, 7/5/2006 21:05:21 ET Lets start the 06 football season off with a trade offer. I am offering up Chris Chambers and/or Antonio Gates for a fourth round pick and Roy Williams for a 5th round pick.
