In an effort to avoid some of the difficulties covid is creating, it has been decided to make waivers unlimited for the 2020 season.
This is effective immediately and will be for the 2020 season only.
This is an adjustment for 2020 and NOT A RULE CHANGE.

Well, we knew it was just a matter of time before Covid affected the 2020 reg. season.
The PIT@TEN, week 4 game has been moved to an undertermined date and will not be played in week 4.
This means that for fantasy purposes BOTH TEN and PIT are on BYE in week 4.
It is believed the NFL will eventually play this game in a later week.  If and when any official announcement is made regarding a make-up game or other changes to the NFL schedule we will adjust our competition as necessary.

WOW!!!
How bad can one person screw up??  Pretty bad.  Take the perceived procedural error just announced for example.  There was NO ERROR!!
The rules DID change and all those waivers removed were 'legal' meaning there never should have been a 'correcttion'.
 Pretty bad, huh?
So, now the correction has been corrected and everything should be back to where it was before the genius stepped in and made such a mess.
If you should find there is still any problem with your roster or line-ups, please notify WANNABE Sports at your earliest convenience.

A procedural error has just been brought to the attention of WANNABE Spoorts.
Immediate actions have been taken to comply with the rules as best possible.
No more than one waiver is allowed per team in the post-season (weeks 13-16). The system did not limit teams to one as it should have.  Therefore, all "illegal" waivers have been reversed and rosters/line-ups have changed accordingly.  If anyone wishes to take issue with the error or the correction, your comments are welcome.

I just wanted to let everyone here know that I've decided not to renew my team 
for the upcoming season.  I don't feel that I would want to take the time that 
is necessary to run a good team.  I really had a blast these last four years in 
the Omicron league.  I enjoyed the back and forth we had, as well as the great

Congrats B-Sharps!!  I know that because this league is so competitive, everyone
will be gunning for you next season.  Let's see if you actually can back up that
talk and win back to back.  Thanks to all for a great league.  I have always
enjoyed playing in this league and with the great competition, that is still the
case.

On a final note, you can tell the elder that I GUARANTEE there will be no 3
peat.  I lost to him fair and square in the championship, and I give him props
for that, but next year will be different.

Good Season. I know a few of you guys who always have quality teams missed the 
draft that put you behind the 8 ball right from the start. This is a good 
league since most teams are active and it makes it challenging to win. Lets 
hope we all can make the draft next year and everyone is on a level playing 
field from the start. That way it will feel a little more rewarding when I go 
back-to-back next year. To those who play in the Epsilon League with Circus 
Face (previous message) that team is run by the elder Green. So they lost to 
the equivalent of GM Marv Levy for 2 straight years. Unlike Levy I am sure he 
will be back to win his 3rd in a row next year.

The one thing my team has is a lot of depth which served me well during the bye 
weeks; however, Powersurge is the defending champ and beat me already this 
year. And oh yeah he has Tom Brady. Once the bye weeks end the depth advantage 
I have will no longer be valid. Probably the only reason I have 1/4 of my team 
is since I started out so slow and was able to win the pickup tie breakers. 
Once the playoffs begin its anyones to win.

I would have to agree with you that overall I think the B-Sharps has the best
team.  I won't say that they are playing like the best, because if the players
on that team would consistently perform, then I don't think anyone could touch
them.  No disrespect to you Powersurge, because you have a good team, but the
overall best team I feel is the B-Sharps.  

Good luck to everyone the rest of the season and lets see what happens.  
We are all one injury away from making or breaking the season.

A lot of parity this year.  Seems to me that the B-sharps are the class of the 
league, they've just had a little trouble getting over the hump in the win

Crap, I can't believe I forgot to bench my kicker for the bye week.  I benched

Draft day coming up soon.  I'm a little frustrated here because I think this

Okay let me just say that I took some much needed time off from fantasy
football.  Unfortunately there are still two more weeks until tax season is
over, so I will no be here after today again until at least April 17th.  I do
want to say that this league is by far the best league that I play in, and that
is because most of the owners are active.  This doesn't mean 24/7 online but
just doing the normal weekly changes that need to be made.  I have greatly
enjoyed this league, and I hope that Kirk will stay along with the rest of you.
 If not then hopefully we get someone that will become a good regular here. 
Anyway, best of luck to you all during this upcoming season.  I for one have to
reclaim my spot, because I am tired of playing .500 ball.  See you guys soon and
I'm open for trades if anyone is wanting to.  Will check in after April 17th.

It's okay that you didn't know he was injured.  It isn't a major injury 
anyway, so don't worry about it.  Most of us in this league have been here for 
some time, so quit trying to justify everything and just move on.  it's over 
with so don't stress about it.  By the way, congrats on the win.  I made a 
change at the last minute that killed me but oh well.  Maybe I will get to see 
you in the playoffs.

I did not know that Gore had been hurt.  I only saw the boxscore, didn't read 
the injury report.  (I was out of town all weekend and got home last night and 
all I did was check my score and post that offer - I didn't know that Gore or 
Alexander had been hurt until today).  However, now that both are hurt I can't 
afford to trade any RB's anyway, so forget it.  Seeing as how I have three 
years of good standing and good trade offers in this league, I'll stand on my 
reputation of not trying to trade injured players.

Yeah man, that was terrible.  And what's amazing is that there are so many 
intelligent owners in this league and yet a ghost-coached team won.  So much 
of that has to do with the playoff format; anyone can get lucky and win three 
games in a row if your opponents have off-weeks.  For example, my first year 
in the league my team wasn't even that good but I made it to the Championship 
and lost by a field goal.  The next year I had (in my humble opinion) the best 
team in the league by far, dominated the points total, yet finished second 
overall in the season and got knocked out the first round of the playoffs.  
That's what make it interesting though, if you stay in it, you can win it.

This league is great. The trash talking starts early. I figure all you guys 
returning would be embarrassed to say anything since a Ghost Coached Team won 
the entire thing last year. If someone not even playing can beat everyone then 
I will have the division won by week 9.

In all seriousness though, I am glad I joined the league since everyone seems 
to be active and involved. Nothing worse then being in a league that does have 
a few ghost teams or unknowledgeable owners and this league seems to have 
neither of those.

I know I would love to see the Panthers win the Super Bowl.  I have to say 
that I was real pleased with the Bobcats draft pick of Morrison as well.  I 
think he will be the face of the franchise before long, and according to 
reports I have heard, season ticket sales are going great.  

Anyway, this league should be a great one this year.  Are you in any other 
Gold leagues?  If not then you should.  Maybe join Gold Alpha, Delta, or 
Epsilon, because we always have battles between us and I am in those three 
leagues as well.  Good luck to you and your team this season, I know I hope to 
play you when at least one of them happens to be on a bye.  lol

I know you had injuries as well cuz you normal run a better team than last 
season.  Oh well, everyone has bad years.  Hopefully this year will be 
better.  I also hope to not have to face you much cuz that combo will be 
tough.  Hopefully Portis will continue the last 5 weeks of last season for 
this whole season.  Looking forward to this season, because I think the league 
will be competitive.

As far as the Panthers go; I am ready to see Lendale White called in first 
round and hopefully TE Pope in second round.  We will see what happens, 
because I am still not secure on Foster as running back.

You're a Panthers fan too?  Great!  Yeah, now that we've got Keyshawn the 
future's looking even brighter than before.  The perfect complement to Smith, 
and you know our orginazation will keep his 'tude in check.  

And you're right - the league champ is nobody, but if you think you had injury 
problems this last year you should have checked out my team.  1st round pick 
goes down two weeks in and I lost another two to three key players as the year 
went on.  Don't worry though, just keep repeating these two names over and 
over - Larry Johnson and LaDanian Tomlinson.  They'll both be on my team next 
year.

Nick,
  Your Brownies are making some moves this offseason.  I expect them to 
improve next season.  They still seem to need a "great" receiver though.  QB 
is another worry, but anytime I bring it up, I always here "we have Frye".  
Well see next season what happens with them.
  Fur,  How about our Panthers?  Please let them sign Key Johnson.  I know I 
can't stand him, but he catches everything thrown to him, and he does a great 
job blocking downfield.  Maybe he and Smitty can get along.  I hear Smitty 
actually talked to him about coming here.  We need Ernie Sims in the first 
round.  That guy is from my team, FSU, and would replace Spoon.  He is a star 
in the first year with the right team.  Could also use Lendale White though, 
and take AJ Nicolson in the 3rd round, cuz he is almost as good as Sims.  What 
do you think?
  The league champion is "NOBODY."  Coming to claim what is rightfully mine 
next season.  This one was injury filled for me, and I couldn't recover.

It's a fun league, and I think with all the talk on the message board we're

Yeah Nick, I've had that problem with Manning in the past.  He's let me down 
in the playoffs because the team starts benching him early in the last games.  
I almost wish that the commish would end the fantasy season with week 16; that 
way there would be a better chance that all teams would have their star 
players on the field.  But what are you going to do?

For me it was a trade made with the long term in mind.  However, it didn't 
mean that I was giving up on season.  I still thought I could do some damage 
with the players I traded for, (and I still may!)

Oh Dear God, everyone's going to have to indulge me here for a minute.  
Seriously, Leftwich went down what, five minutes after I got him?  And then 
Dante Hall has his game of the season, anyone of which could have put me back 
in the playoff race the last couple of weeks.  Anway, at least Johnson played 
well.

Yeah, who knows, I may not even end up saving Johnson next year.  For me it 
was just a matter of semantics, the price of keeping Manning when I know I 
can't save him for the opportunity at getting a good young running back.  I'll 
miss Manning, though, even it's only for a few games.  I can't tell you how 
many times he single-handedly won games for me.

return for a high potential back or receiver that I could save next year.  
Consider him if you think he might be what puts you over the top to get a

Yeah man, I know your pain.  Last year I scored more points than any other 
team in league history and promptly lost in the first round of the playoffs.  
Oh well.  You've got a hell of a team there this year; I'm not looking forward 
to playing you in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the comments on my mid-season report.  I really enjoy this league, 
and plan on staying in it for the foreseeable future.  I hope to build the 
sort of comraderie here that makes the same owners want to come back season 
after season.

Luck has run out for me this year so far.  For some reason every team I play 
has superstar games by players that normally don't have them.  Oh well, maybe I

My (just past) midseason report.

#1 - hogs  - oh those lovable lowercase hogs.  Always a threat, Paul Moore has 
his boys leading the pack after the midway point.  Built around Tom Brady, you 
know these guys won't settle for second place.  (And maybe one day he'll 
change that h to an H.  Ah, we can dream can't we.)

#2 - Birdcatcher Ticks - one of the new guys at the top, he's staying strong 
behind the power running duo of Steven Jackson and Tiki Barber.  But can Favre 
take the Ticks all the way?  Only time will tell.

#3 - One Eyed Blue Monkeys - if visions of a cycloptic primate doesn't make 
you fearful, these guys will.  Their trashtalking owner (just kidding Nick) 
has the monkeys primed to pull a long postseason run.

#4 - The Fireflys - The always understated Brian Dupuis has his boys tied for 
second.  Since winning the title in 2001 the fireflys have been a bit of a 
dissapointment, posting back to back 5-9 seasons.  But, with the coolest logo 
in the league, this might be the season they turn things around.

#5 - Texas Tugboats - Thanks to the resurgence of Lamont Jordan Ken Elliot is 
just ahead of a slew of playoff-bubble teams.  We'll see if the Tugboats keep 
it up.

#6 - Wings and Beer - Oh whatever happened to those lovable 4-0 Wings and Beer 
boys.  The five game losing has to have Kirk Slocum down, but in a crowded 
bottom half, he still has a strong shot at the playoffs.

#7 - Backyard Broncos - (no owner, ah screw em.)

#8 - Pepe's Pickled Pigheads - After last years surprsing title run 
Higinbottom's boys are staying in the race behind Corey Dillon and a resurgent 
Drew Bledsoe.

#9 - Green Machine - No one's managing this team!  Honest!  I just beat them 
wiht Joe Horn in their lineup during his bye week. (And until this week 
they've been ahead of me in the standing.  How bad is that.)

#10 - Digital Fur - After leading the league in points last year and making it 
to the title game two years ago the Fur has fallen on hard times.  Manning's 
late season resurgence however may keep other owners awake at night if they 
squeeze into the playoffs.

#11 - Thunder Lizards - Ignore the record, you don't want to face these guys.  
If the total points attest to anything, it's the David Brittain is struggling 
more with luck than his managerial skills.  Look for the Lizards to either 
sneak in the playoffs late or play heartbreaker to other teams at the end of 
the season.

#12 - Igwanna Kikbooties - Best Team Name ever.  After last year's 8-6 post 
the Kikbooties have struggled with injuries during the 2005 campaign.  If 
Steve King has anything to do with it, they'll be back and strong in 06.

I just want to thank all of the devoted Digital Fur fans out there who have 
stuck with us through the thick and thin (mostly thin) of this season.  After 
three nail-biting losses I believe we may have turned the corner here this 
week with a win over Pepe's.  Sure, the GM work hasn't been the best, (who 
would've known Mike Anderson would steal most of Tatum Bell's touchdowns 
inside the ten?  and who could've guessed Frank Gore could've won us two games 
if he'd been on the field instead of on the bench?) but that's all behind us 
now.  We have every intention of making a strong push for the playoffs now, 
and if we don't make it, you can blame bad luck, and not the GM.

The Bus were injured. I am a Bills fan and Parker ran all over the Bills at the

against a group of people that I know, or at least that plays the league

Yeah, this is the sort of rapport that we need here.  Like the One-eyed blue 
monkeys owner said, I'd rather compete against either friends or enemies than 
complete strangers.  That's why I'm a really big fan of the hall of fame link 
on this website, it keeps a sense of continuity going for the league.  For 
example, playing against the Thunder Lizards my first year, I felt like I was 
going against league royalty.

Well here in upstate NY everything is pretty laid back, and being nrew to the 
league I thought I should keep a LOW profile.  This league is a lot differant 
than other leagues I've been in and looks like my work is cut out for me to 
improve and be competitive.
Also, you're right why isn't hogs - Hogs.  Seemds only correct to get that 
corrected.
